Taking Estonian modular house manufacturer to new markets
About the client
Greentec Houses is an Estonian manufacturer of small houses, whose distinctive strength is the production of energy-efficient and quickly installed modular houses.
The challenge
Greentec wanted to find a way to test the potential of the seven target markets on a small budget, data-driven basis, and bring real sales. The aim of the market test was to sell 5 modular houses in Reigi.
Strategy
Realist developed an export marketing strategy to achieve maximum results in a limited time and budget. The approach was based on a local value proposition in each market:
- Germany and Denmark – emphasis on energy efficiency, sustainability and reliable customer stories.
- Finland, Sweden, Norway – emphasis on Nordic lifestyle, sauna and holiday home functionality.
- Latvia and Lithuania – price alert and houses available immediately as a practical housing solution.
Advertisements and landing pages were created with local messaging and testing of creative solutions to compare performance in different markets.
Timeline
The campaign ran for 1.5 months (from mid-July to the end of August 2025) and covered the Meta and Google advertising networks.
- Separate promotional messages and visuals were created for each market to appeal to local consumers.
- The focus of the campaign was lead generation – contact forms and enquiries directly from the landing page.
- All activities were measurable, including CPC, CPA and ROI.
Results
The campaign exceeded expectations in terms of both volume and quality:
- 31 high quality enquiries from seven markets.
- 2 modular houses sold for 2x €40 000 over a two-month period.
- Cost per Action 26,08 €, one enquiry; Cost per sale 900 €.
Lessons learned and impact
- With a small budget, you can achieve a significant impact in export markets if your marketing strategy and messages are localised.
- Data-driven testing allows a company to quickly identify which markets have real buying potential.
- The campaign showed that even for an unknown brand, sales can be achieved in just a few months.
